Concept design and visualisation for a film institute in North London, UK.

The tripartite volumes arose from the brief's requirement for 3 auditorium/cinema spaces; the central volume lifting to create the public entrance to the building. Cloaked in reclaimed grey, concrete brick, the soft, perforated materiality helps to break down an otherwise formal scheme. The horizontal emphasis at ground level takes cues from 20th-century classic Modern residential architecture such as Falling Water and Ville Savoye.
