Crinkle House is an initial sketch design for this courtyard residence, on a greenbelt site in the Essex countryside.

The courtyard archetype lent itself perfectly to the site, with its delicate balance of introversion and extroversion. The single-storey scheme reinforces that connection to the surrounding context.
